ZACHARY - Police in Zachary tell the National Weather Service that one of its officers spotted a tornado near the Zachary-Slaughter Highway just east of East Cental Avenue.

The report came in just after 3 p.m. as a strong line of thunderstorms raced over the area.

No reports of damage yet. WBRZ has a crew in Zachary and will bring you details of any damage when we get them.
