The City of Zachary has created a dusk-to-dawn curfew starting Wednesday, August 29 at 6p.m., running through Thursday, August 30 at 6a.m.,as Hurricane Isaac approaches the state.
Zachary Police Chief David McDavid stated that the curfew would be necessary to allow public safety officials to better do their job during the storm.
Residents are being asked to stay off the roads, for their safety and to stay indoors and avoid driving due to high winds and excessive rain.
Residents with immediate, life-threatening emergencies, police, fire, medical are advised to call 9-1-1.
