THIBODAUX - Seven people from Thibodaux were arrested after authorities said videos posted on YouTube showed the people fighting.

The seven arrested are listed below:

  • 18-year-old Jovan Kenny
  • 17-year-old Chantell Kenny
  • 19-year-old Damien Daggs
  • 17-year-old Umeko Ballard
  • 17-year-old Aarinasia Robertson
  • 18-year-old Akieba Coler
  • 17-year-old Jovonta Johnson

Authorities said 18-year-old Albert Starks and five juveniles also participated in the fighting. Starks has not yet been found.

Police said they received information on Monday about two large fights that occurred on Oct. 27 and 28. Officers found YouTube videos of the fights and were able to identify eight adults and five juveniles directly involved, most of whom police said were students at Thibodaux High School.

Authorities arrested seven of the eight and transported them to the Thibodaux Police Department. The seven were issued misdemeanor summons for disturbing the peace by fighting and/or remaining after being forbidden and then were released.

Police said they will get an arrest warrant for Starks for disturbing the peace, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and remaining after being forbidden. Two of the juveniles were transported to the Lafourche Parish Juvenile Justice Center, while the remaining juveniles were released to their parents.
