Yoga pants recall hits Baton Rouge
BATON ROUGE - "When you stretch, you can see skin," claims Kelsey Box.
Box and Jessica Spatali tried their best not to overexpose themselves in their yoga class today.
"I was asking my friend and my cousin, "are these see through can you see through them?"" says Spatali.
The ladies are among thousands who bought yoga pants from popular active wear manufacture Lululemon.
A recent batch of pants was pulled off the shelves after complaints they were see-through.
"I mean it's very embarrassing. I was right in the front of the room today. And I had to bend over and put my body in weird positions," says Spatali , "You where these you buy these you spend the money to have full coverage."
The pants run a little more than $100 a pair. Lululemon says the company first started to realize the extent of the problem earlier this month, when managers complained the pants were sheer.
"Oh this is a fluke. I've never heard of anything wrong every happening with Lululemon pants or shirts," says Lorilin Braymer, Co-owner of Yogilates.
"They're comfortable and they're lightweight, they look better. I could buy cheaper ones but these are worth the money," says Box.
While some are staying loyal, others say they're thinking twice about making another purchase with Lululemon.
"I heard you can get a full refund but I'm a little bit skeptical," says Spatali.
Lululemon is offering full returns on the pants.
