X-Ray weapon plot
ALBANY, NEW YORK- Two men in New York who tried to build a portable X-Ray weapon to kill Muslims and enemies of Israel will stay in jail. A federal magistrate determined that Glendon Scott Crawford and Eric J. Feight are a threat and will be held without bail until their preliminary hearing next month. The two are charged with conspiracy to support terrorism. Police say they wanted to build a remote-controlled machine to secretly bombard people with enough radiation to kill them. Radiation scientists say such a machine isn't feasible. To hurt people, they would have to face prolonged exposure from radiation at close range.
