'Wrong neighborhood' attacker scheduled to be sentenced
BATON ROUGE- The man accused of attacking a family at a gas station in Baton Rouge is scheduled learn his fate today.
Jurors found Donald Dickerson guilty of second degree battery in a brutal attack two years ago. According to prosecutors, Dickerson told David Ray and his family "they were in the wrong neighborhood and wouldn't make it out." Dickerson then attacked Ray and knocked him unconscious.
Dickerson is facing the possibility of a life sentence for being a habitual offender.
