Wrong body in casket
WARWICK, RHODE ISLAND- A woman want answers after the wrong body was found in a casket that should have contained her mother.
Lisa Kondvar's mom died unexpectedly on the island of St. Maarten in the Caribbean.
When the casket and body where shipped to Rhode Island, Kondvar discovered another woman's body inside.
The family now believes Margret Porkka's body was confused with that of a Canadian tourist who also died in St. Maarten at the same time.
It would mean Porkka's body was cremated in Ottawa. St. Maarten is part of the Netherlands and shares the island with St. Martin, a French dependency.
Kondvar asked the help of U.S. Sen. Jack Reed, who says he's working with the State Department to get answers on what happened.
