BATON ROUGE - Traffic officials reported a wreck slowed I-10 West to a crawl through the central part of the capital city Monday afternoon.

The wreck at I-10 West near South Acadian Thruway blocked two lanes around 4 p.m., leaving only one lane for vehicles to move through the area according to the Department of Transportation and Development.

At 4:30 p.m. one lane has reopened, but DOTD said the congestion was back past the I-10 / I-12 split.
