UPDATE: All westbound lanes crossing the river are open. Eastbound lanes will be intermittingly closed to remove vehicles involved in crash.
BATON ROUGE - A crash this morning closed all lanes of the I-10 Mississippi River Bridge into East Baton Rouge Parish.
The multi-vehicle crash involves an 18-wheeler that is leaking diesel fuel into the river. A car is struck under the 18-wheeler, according to DOTD.
State Police sent out the alert via their Nixle text-messaging system around 11 a.m.
Baton Rouge Police are working the crash at this time. There are no reports of any injuries at the moment.
Drivers are asked to use U. S. 190 to cross the river.
