Work-release inmate wanted after leaving job

JACKSON- A work-release inmate walked away from his job Monday, the second time in a week that the East Feliciana Parish Sheriff's Office has had the task of locating a trusty.
Most recently, Frankie New, 40, left a body shop where he was assigned to work on Highway 10. New left about 8 a.m. Monday.
New was doing time for simple burglary and was scheduled to be released in a year.
Last Monday, Glen R. Carroll, 21, left a site near Amite. He was arrested a few days later.
