Work damages water main
BATON ROUGE - Work on a broken water main closed a portion of Jefferson Highway in Baton Rouge Friday morning.
Water company officials said a contractor working in the area of Jefferson and Keed Avenue damaged the water main in that area.
They said low water pressure is affecting fire protection in the area, and repairs are already under way.
The work closed the southbound right lane of Jefferson at Keed.
