Woodlawn tackles top team in class 4A for big win
BATON ROUGE - Warren Easton brought the top-ranked team in the state in class 4A to Woodlawn on Friday night, but it was the Panthers who left with an upset win, topping the Eagles 28-21.
Woodlawn jumped out to a 14-0 lead in the first half, and proceeded to hold the Eagles in check with great defensive play before halftime.
In the second half, the Eagles struck back, but the Panthers were able to hold off the rally, as the Panthers (3-1) handed the Eagles (3-1) their first loss of the season.
