Woman sought in theft from Christian school

GONZALES- Sheriff's deputies asked for the public's help identifying a women who stole money from a local Christian elementary school.

An unidentified female stole $100 from a purse in an Ascension Christian Elementary School classroom last month according to Chief Deputy Tony Bacala with the Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office.

Officials said the woman was last seen around campus on a pink bicycle with a large white purse. Surveillance video show her wearing dark capri pants, tennis shoes and a sweatshirt.

Deputies ask anyone with information to contact the Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office at 225-621-INFO (4636).
