PRAIRIEVILLE - The Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office asked for the public's help identifying a woman who fraudulently withdrew money from an elderly woman's bank account in Prairieville.

The elderly victim's wallet was stolen from a shopping cart in a Hattiesburg, Mississippi Walmart in April.

Deputies said a woman was seen on surveillance video at a Regions Bank in Prairieville using the victim's identification and fraudulently withdrawing nearly $6,000 from the elderly female's savings account.

They say the woman went back into the bank minutes later and fraudulently withdrew another $1,400 from the same account.

Anyone with information or the whereabouts of this woman is urged to contact the Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office at 225-621-INFO (4636) or by texting 847411 to their anonymous tip line.
