Woman sentenced in 2007 killing of Baton Rouge man
A Baton Rouge woman was sentenced to 25 years in prison for stabbing an elderly neighbor to death in 2007 and setting his house on fire to destroy evidence.
Christine Marie Joseph pleaded guilty to manslaughter and obstruction of justice in the 2007 killing of Louis Booker Jr.
Joseph told police Booker invited her inside his house.
Once inside, she claimed Booker threw her on his bed, and after a struggle, Joseph said she armed herself with a kitchen knife and stabbed Booker when he continued to chase her.
