Woman sentenced for disaster relief fraud
A woman from Greensburg was sentenced to two months in jail and ordered to pay $5,292.99 in restitution to the Bank of Greensburg.
Cheryl Taylor pled guilty last year to forgery.
According to court documents, Taylor changed the U.S. Treasury check that had been made out to her for disaster relief benefits in the amount of $1,425 so that it appeared to be payable in the amount of $11,425.
Taylor then deposited the check into her personal account.
