BATON ROUGE - A Baton Rouge woman died this morning after driving into a van on Jefferson Highway. The woman, 29-year-old Shannan Taylor, was due in court tomorrow morning for driving without a license in an unregistered car.

She was leaving her boyfriend's apartment, after they got into an argument. Boyfriend John Daley told News 2 he ran after Taylor, who sped off her in vehicle. Distracted, she pulled out into the intersection, hitting another vehicle. Authorities said she was not wearing her seatbelt and was ejected from her window, then rolled over by her car.

"If I would have known this was the last morning I was going to see her," said Daley. "I feel like it's my fault, because of the argument and I wish that was not the last thing I said to her."

The wreck closed down the intersection for hours.

Deputies are awaiting a toxicology report from the Coroner's Office to determine if drugs or alcohol were a factor.

Taylor is survived by her three children.
