Woman finds 12 ft. snake in bathroom
COLLEGE STATION, TX - A Texas woman was shocked when she returned home to find a 12-foot-long python in her bathroom.
She immediately called 911, and police showed up to take it away with a garbage bag. When they realized how big the snake was, they called for back-up and exchanged the bag for a garbage can.
Officials say the reptile was an aggressive snake known as an African Rock Python. Owners are required to have permits to keep them, so authorities were able to track down the owner.
He lost the snake just before he moved away from College Station a few months ago. The python was returned to him once it was captured. He doesn't expect to face charges.
The woman believes the snake got in through an open door.
