BATON ROUGE - A Baton Rouge woman died at an area hospital last night following a traffic crash that happened in the 7300 block of Airline Highway.

Police said 56-year-old Patricia Wilson was the driver of a 2013 Honda Accord that was struck by a 1995 Chevrolet Silverado as she was making a right turn from Winbourne Avenue onto Airline Highway at around 4:40 p.m. Sunday.

Investigators believe the 42-year-old male driver of the Silverado disregarded the traffic light and struck Wilson’s vehicle as a result. The driver was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries at the time of the crash.

Police are still investigating the wreck.
