HAMMOND - A 51-year-old woman was found dead at the scene of a mobile home fire in Hammond.

The state Fire Marshal's Office said firefighters responded to a mobile home fire in in Hammond around 6:45 a.m. Saturday. The body of 51-year-old Sonya Richardson was found inside. The Fire Marshal's news release said an autopsy would determine the cause of death. The fire was believed to have started near a cook top and exhaust system in the home's kitchen.
