Woman charged with stabbing husband in chest
BATON ROUGE - A Baton Rouge woman has been arrested after deputies say she stabbed her husband in the chest with a knife.
It happened Sunday night in the 7000 block of Villere Dr.
After Stephanie Hayes Robertson, 39, was arrested, she told officers an argument with her husband turned physical, so she went to the kitchen and grabbed a knife. That's when they started to struggle for the knife, and her husband was stabbed in the chest.
According to the arrest report, she was the one that called 911. Their 13-year-old son was also home at the time of the incident.
Robertson faces attempted 2nd degree murder and domestic abuse battery charges. She's also been charged for a traffic bench warrant with the Baker Police Department.
The victim was brought to a local hospital to be treated for his injuries.
