BAYOU BLUE, LA - A 30-year-old Bayou Blue woman arrested was booked with cruelty to the infirmed.

April Johnson's arrest comes after deputies called to a house last month found a 69-year-old woman living in a filthy 10-foot by 16-foot wooden shed attached to the home.

Lafourche Parish deputies said the room smelled of urine and rotting flesh.

The elderly woman was identified only as a relative of Johnson.

She was treated for sores that exposed bone and tendons.

If Johnson is convicted, she would face a possible 10 year prison sentence.
