BATON ROUGE- A woman is facing multiple charges after she admitted to attacking her boyfriend in an on-campus apartment Sunday evening.

Around 4:30 p.m., officers from the LSU Police Department responded to the West Campus Apartments regarding a fight. At the scene, officers found a male victim bleeding from his right arm.

According to the arrest report, the victim told 19-year-old Taliah Shinholster that she needed to leave his apartment, and he locked his bedroom door after removing her.

At that time, Shinholster became upset and began punching the victim's door. She then ripped a towel rack off the bathroom wall and used it to strike the victim's door repeatedly until she was able to create a hole, entered the victim's room and attacked him.

Shinholster is charged with battery of a dating partner, unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling, and simple criminal damage to property.
