THIBODAUX – Thibodaux Police arrested a woman on her fourth drinking while intoxicated offense on Thursday night.

Around 11:50 p.m., police saw and stopped a gray Toyota Camry without a license plate in the area of Canal Boulevard and St. Charles Street in Thibodaux. The driver, 31-year-old Arielle Dumas, told police that she didn't have an ID on her and then provided a false name.

Police noticed that Dumas was displaying signs of intoxication and admitted that she has been drinking. Dumas failed a field sobriety test and had an alcohol blood content level of .172g%. She was brought to the Thibodaux Police Department.

Police noticed an open bottle of gin inside the car, however the passenger that was with Dumas claimed that it was for them. The passenger was released on the scene with a warning for the open alcoholic container violation.

Dumas' vehicle registration was expired and was driving under suspension. Dumas was previously arrested three time for DWI since 2012 and is currently being held at the Lafourche Parish Detention Center on a $56,200 bond.
