Woman arrested in grits attack
A woman from Boutte is in jail after investigators say she poured a pot of boiling grits onto her sleeping boyfriend.
Carolyn Brown, 44, is charged with second-degree battery. She was arrested Wednesday.
Her boyfriend told investigators it happened after he got into a fight with Brown last month and told her he was breaking up with her.
St. Charles Parish sheriff's deputies say he suffered second-degree burns on his face and arms.
