Sheriff’s deputies in Ascension Parish have arrested a Donaldsonville woman in suspicion of stabbing and killing her boyfriend.
22-year-old Sherri Dubois Slayton was arrested Tuesday in suspicion of second degree murder for the death of 38-year-old Brian Keith Norris.
According to a press release, deputies were called to a mobile home park on Bellina Drive for reports of a stabbing early Tuesday morning. Deputies said they found Norris unresponsive when they arrived and that he had a single stab wound in the chest. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators said they later determined Slayton had stabbed Norris during a fight and arrested her in suspicion of second degree murder.
Slayton is being held on a $150,000 bond at the Ascension Parish jail.
