East Baton Rouge Sheriff's detectives arrested a woman Tuesday morning for allegedly stabbing her boyfriend during an argument.
Monchelle Austin, 24, of 8656 GSRI Road #B, was arrested and charged with manslaughter. Hysom L. Blunt, 26, died of his injuries. He lived at the same address.
Deputies responded to a 911 call from Austin at approximately 1:24 a.m. They found Blunt laying outside on the ground in front of the apartment when they arrived.
He was immediately transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Austin had been Blunt's live-in girlfriend for about five years. She told deputies she had stabbed him with a knife during an argument that had turned physical.
