Woman arrested after shoving teacher against wall
BELLE ROSE – Deputies in Assumption Parish say a woman was arrested after shoving a school teacher against the wall at Belle Rose Primary School Friday.
According to Sheriff Leland Falcon, investigators learned that 50-year-old Darlene Jones confronted a school office worker “in an angry and aggressive manner.” Deputies say Jones then grabbed the employee and shoved her against the wall. Jones was asked to leave the school.
Deputies went to Jones’ home and she was placed under arrest. She was charged with battery of a school teacher and unlawful disruption of the operations of a school. Bond was set at $6,000.
