Woman accused of stabbing boyfriend
BELLE ROSE - Authorities in Assumption Parish arrested a woman accused of stabbing her boyfriend at a home in Belle Rose.
Deputies said Gwendolyn Simon got into an argument with her boyfriend on Monday, then stabbed him once in the back and once in the chest as he was leaving.
Investigators said he was taken to a hospital in Baton Rouge, where he remains in stable condition.
Simon told deputies she was afraid of her boyfriend, which is why she stabbed him.
Deputies booked Simon into the Assumption Parish Jail on one count of Aggravated Second Degree Battery.
