Woman accused of shooting husband while driving
BATON ROUGE - Police arrested a woman after investigators said she shot her husband while they were driving.
Police said Euphoria Beauchamp, 50, is accused of shooting her husband Noel Beauchamp, 55, Saturday morning as he was driving his pickup on Airline Highway.
Detectives said Euphoria told them she was a passenger in the truck when she and her husband got into a fight that became physical, which is when she shot him. However, police said during their investigation they found evidence that poked holes in her story.
Police charged Euphoria Beauchamp Tuesday with second degree murder and booked her into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.
The incident is still under investigation and anyone with information is urged to contact the Violent Crimes Unit at (225) 389-4869.
