Woman accused of selling stolen guitars, TV
ST. AMANT - Sheriff's deputies arrested an Ascension Parish woman recently after they said she sold two stolen electric guitars and a stolen TV to a pawn shop.
Deputies arrested Amanda Villar, 23, on May 15 for charges of theft and possession of stolen things. They said she also had an outstanding warrant from 2013 for meth possession.
Detectives said the guitars and TV were taken from a residence on Laurel Ridge Road in St. Amant on May 12. The detectives checked pawn shops in the area and said they found the items a short time later. They said pawn shop records showed Villar was the person who sold the items.
Authorities arrested Villar a few days later and booked her into the parish jail. She posted a $10,419 bond on May 20.
