Woman accused of leaving toddlers alone in feces-strewn house
BATON ROUGE - A 24-year-old Baton Rouge woman is accused of leaving her three small children at home alone in squalid living conditions.
After receiving an anonymous tip, police said they found the children - ages 1, 3 and 5 - alone at an apartment Saturday.
Police says the apartment had no beds or electricity, and had feces and urine on the floors.
Police say the children's mother, Jasmine Moore, was booked on counts of cruelty to juveniles, child desertion and criminal abandonment.
Moore remains in jail Monday. Her bond is set at $36,000.
Officials couldn't provide the name of a defense attorney to comment on the charges.
