WINNSBORO - The Louisiana State Fire Marshal investigators are currently on the scene of a fire that killed a father and his sons in an early morning fire in Winnsboro.

Three others were seriously injured in the fire, according to the State Fire Marshal. Investigators responded to a call around 2 a.m. Thursday in the 2000 block of Mike Street when a single-wide mobile home was engulfed in flames.

Firefighters arrived before investigators and removed 31-year-old Derrick Boley, and his three-year-old and eight-year-old sons.

All three were dead when firefighters found them, according to the State Fire Marshal.

29-year-old Victoria Guthrie, a 6-year-old child and a 19-month-old child were also injured during the fire and transported to the hospital for treatment.

Investigators determined the fire started in the kitchen. No official cause of the fire has been found yet, but the investigation is ongoing.
