A Baton Rouge woman has pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the 2008 shooting death of her estranged husband.
Turishcheva Coleman shot and killed James Coleman during a domestic argument.
Manslaughter carries a sentence of up to 40 years in prison, but prosecutors and attorneys have agreed that Coleman's sentence will not exceed 15 years.
A pre-sentence investigation was ordered.
Coleman was scheduled to stand trial Monday on a second-degree murder charge, which carries a mandatory sentence of life in prison.
Coleman's sentencing is set for July 29.
