White Supremacist sentenced for Obama plot
A white supremacist from Arkansas was sentenced to ten years in federal prison for conspiring to kill then-presidential candidate Barack Obama and dozens of other African-Americans. Paul Schlesselman of Helena-West Helena, Arkansas had pleaded guilty back in January and his sentence was imposed Thursday. Co-defendant Daniel Cowart of Bells, Tennessee also pleaded guilty and is awaiting sentencing. Authorities say the two are skinheads who planned a cross-country robbing and killing-spree that was to end with an attack on Obama in 2008.
