White Castle man killed in LA 69 crash
IBERVILLE PARISH - State Police say a White Castle man was killed in a single-vehicle crash on LA 69 on Tuesday night.
79-year-old Sterling Cedotal was pronounced dead in the hours following the crash by the Iberville Parish Coroner’s Office.
Troopers said Cedotal was traveling westbound on LA 69, west of LA 1, at around 6 p.m. when he swerved off the road for unknown reasons and hit a dirt mound. The impact caused his vehicle to become airborne, crash landing in a nearby field.
The man was unrestrained at the time of the crash and sustained serious injuries. He was taken a local hospital where he would later be pronounced dead. Impairment is not a suspected factor in the crash.
