West Feliciana on the hunt for more boat landings
ST. FRANCISVILLE - Parish leaders are in the market for more boat landings because the parish is expecting heavy traffic this summer.
"We only have one spot. And we need three, perhaps four to handle the traffic that's going to be coming in the future," said Parish President Kevin Couhig.
A judge ruled last week that the parish doesn't have possession over the Old Ferry Landing; a place where boats have docked in the past.
The Lambert family holds possession of the property now and they released this statement to News Two:
"The Lambert family is willing to sit down and discuss the river front with the parish and their representatives to come up with a project to be a win-win situation for the town and the parish."
President Couhig said he hopes to come up with some solutions in the next two weeks.
