West Feliciana joining schools coop
ST. FRANCISVILLE, La. - The West Feliciana Parish School Board will join a cooperative of school districts that hope to save money through bulk purchases of computers and software and by devising online courses.
The Advocate reports the district will pay $1,500 to join the District Cooperative of Louisiana.
The program is administered by the Vermilion Parish School Board.
West Feliciana supervisor of federal programs Joyce Edwards said the district is working with the cooperative now on devising tests for second-grade math students that are tied to new national curriculum standards.
