The nonpartisan Council for a Better Louisiana has posted information online to aid people voting on
local school board races next month.
The website includes demographic information on school districts, school and district performance scores, student performance data on key tests, district financial information and comparisons of districts.
The Advocate says the website also offers information on what CABL sees as the role of an effective school board member and sample questions to ask contenders.
The information is online here.
The primary election for school board races is Oct. 2. Runoffs will be held on Nov. 2.
