In the winter months its not just your home that needs to be weather proofed, your outdoor equipment needs to be too. Outdoor equipment tends to sit idle all winter long so our How 2 Expert David Stringfellow showed us what to do to keep it up to par and protected from freezing temps.
The main thing you'll want to do for your gas power equipment is protect your fuel. Using a fuel additive will help keep your fuel fresh. Stringfellow recommends Sta-bil Fuel Stabilizer. The product claims to keep gas fresh for up to 12 months. It allows for easy starts after being stored for while.
Another product he recommends is an ethanol shield. This preventative maintenance formula removes water and prevents ethanol phase separation while increasing the octane level in your fuel.
These are just a few of the many suggestions Stringfellow gives to product your valuable equipment. For more recommendations from Dave Stringfellow on How to weatherize your stored goods during the winter, watch today's segment.
