Weak cold front today
Today, a weak and fast moving cold front will cross the area from northwest to southeast. Saturday's rain storm left us with a fairly dry and stable atmosphere, therefore little rain is expected today, but an isolated shower can't be ruled out. Expect the cold front to cross the area with plenty of clouds and a shift in wind direction. While a sprinkle is possible anywhere, hence our 20% chance of rain, if any organized shower develops it should be limited to the coast where more moisture is available.
Once this front passes, we'll find a cooler night as thermometers drop back into the mid 30s on Tuesday Morning. We'll have another brief respite on New Year's Eve as skies go partly sunny with highs a touch below average in the middle 50s.
It appears New Year's Day will feature seasonable temperatures with highs in the lower 60s. Clouds will be increasing and rain will be back in the picture by the end of the day.
