WBRZ recognizes best holiday displays

WBRZ News 2 Louisiana will kick off the 2009 holiday season in the Baton Rouge area with its annual “Lights Before Christmas” Contest.  “Lights Before Christmas” recognizes the area’s most spirited and decorative homes of the season.

Viewers can submit nominations beginning Sunday, November 22nd through Wednesday, December 16th.   To nominate, viewers may send a digital photo via email to lights@wbrz.com or call (225)-336-2365; please include the address of the lights display, along with your name and phone number.

Saturday, November 28th through Friday, December 25th, nominated homes will be featured on Sunday’s 5:30 p.m. newscast and weeknights at 6 p.m. Viewers can then vote for their favorites on wbrz.com following Thursday’s 6 p.m. broadcast through Friday at 12 p.m. Weekly winners will be featured on Friday’s 6 p.m. newscast; the final winner will be featured during the 10 p.m. Christmas newscast.

Lane Regional Medical Center is sponsoring this year’s “Lights Before Christmas”, a WBRZ holiday tradition.
