WBRZ names Jared Broussard sales manager

WBRZ Channel 2 has named Jared Broussard as Sales Manager. Broussard has been in the television broadcasting industry for eleven years. Prior to joining WBRZ, Jared served as Regional Sales Manager for WAFB-TV.

In 2007, he was a finalist for a local sales promotion at the NAB Small Market convention. He was a recipient in 2005 of the Sales and Marketing Executives International of Greater Baton Rouge Distinguished Sales Award.

“Having worked with Jared in the past, I am thrilled to have someone with his work ethic and experience as an integral part of the WBRZ sales management team.  His relationships within the Baton Rouge community are just another reason he is a tremendous asset to Channel 2,” said Director of Sales Denise Murrell.

Jared has been very active in the community, including serving on the Marketing and Public Relations committee for Louisiana Pediatric Cardiology Foundation, and was instrumental in working with our First Lady Supriya Jindal on the LPCF Public Service Announcement. He also served on the Capital Area Alzheimer’s Association’s Public Awareness Committee. He participated as a player and coach for the Baton Rouge Soccer Association and as an assistant girls coach for University High School. He also participated in and finished the 2009 Nashville Country Music ½ Marathon.

Broussard is a graduate of Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing. He is from Laplace, LA and attended De La Salle High School in New Orleans, LA. Jared is married to Rikki Broussard and has one son, Jonathon.
