PORT ALLEN - School administrators in West Baton Rouge will meet with law enforcement tonight to discuss school security in the parish.
Tonight's committee meeting is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. at the school board office in Port Allen.
The committee will primarily decide if the topic warrants further discussion at the full school board meeting this Wednesday.
The discussion comes as many schools around the country are re-evaluating their security policies in the wake of the massacre at a Newtown, Conn. elementary school. A gunman there killed 26 people, including 20 students and 6 staff members.
The public is invited to attend.
