More than 100 people are taking part in the 5th annual "Walk with Jesus" in Pointe Coupee parish this morning.

The event started at 6:30a.m. in Lakeland, follows False River into New Roads and ends at St. Mary False River Catholic Church at 2:45p.m.

Each participant takes turns carrying the 10-foot cross, signifying the cross Jesus died on.

I'll have more on their walk tonight on News 2 at 5:00p.m.
