BATON ROUGE - Catholics participated in the Way of the Cross today in downtown Baton Rouge.

Pilgrims started at St. Joseph Cathedral and walked through the Capitol grounds visiting 14 stations before returning to the steps of the cathedral.

The Way of the Cross is a symbolic pilgrimage highlighting the suffering of Jesus Christ on the day of his crucifixion.
