PLAQUEMINE, Louisiana - The Waterworks District #2 in Iberville Parish is in hot water after two scathing audit reports.

The audits were presented to the Iberville Parish Council during a regular scheduled meeting Tuesday at the Iberville Courthouse.

The parish auditor presented council with a Comprehensive Annual Financial Report that included a disclaimer regarding the 'unaudited' Waterworks District #2. Some of the reasons stated for the disclaimer included, no written policies and procedures.

An independent, draft, audit was presented by Postlethwaite & Netterville. Some of the findings include:
*Missing funds that could add up to $6,500.
*A check written to an employee for $950. No supporting documentation was provided.
*A termination payment of $5,300 for accrued leave was paid to an employee. No supporting documentation was located.
*No employee time or attendance records were kept; but overtime was paid.
*No credit card receipt records were maintained.

Iberville Parish officials plan to present their findings to Waterworks District #2 Wednesday. WBRZ called Waterworks District #2 for comment, but did not receive a response.
