Waterways closed in Livingston, Ascension parishes
LIVINGSTON - All waterways in Livingston Parish and some in Ascension Parish have been ordered to close, effective 4 p.m. Thursday afternoon.
Livingston Parish President Layton Ricks said all waterways in their parish would be closed until further notice due to high waters.
Ascension Parish OHSEP Director Rick Webre said they would close their parish's part of the Amite River and Diversion Canal until further notice as well.
