Water main break floods streets in New Orleans
NEW ORLEANS - A break in a 16-inch water main flooded streets in a section of New Orleans' Carrollton neighborhood, prompting the rerouting of traffic around areas where water covered the bumpers of some parked cars.
The break occurred early Tuesday. Residents of surrounding areas awoke to low water pressure. And rush-hour traffic was rerouted around a section of Carrollton Avenue and surrounding streets while work was underway to repair the break.
