I'm keeping an eye on the radar this morning as more showers and a few thunderstorms move across the Baton Rouge area. At the moment, the heaviest rain is located south of the city of Baton Rouge, or over Iberville, Assumption, Ascension and St. James Parishes.
Some of the rain could be heavy at times, and we could pick up 1 to 2 inches of rain before the day is over. Some minor flooding could occur today in low-lying areas. Additionally, a few storms could become strong later today with winds around 40 mph.
